Laredo festivals are crowded, especially the Battle of Flowers and the Recreation of Charles V Last Disembarking due to its tradition and popularity. The former is almost a hundred years old whilst the latter is the most recent festival created. In both celebrations the population of Laredo is massively involved. Its residents also participate and organize other celebrations throughout the year, such as: Carnivals, Virgen del Carmen, San Roque and San Martín, etc.
