Laredo is located in a privileged area on the west coast of Cantabria. Surrounded by mounts and the Cantabrian Sea, its location enables the visitor to enjoy the extremely beautiful and fine sands and protected green areas. In the city centre, you can find the largest beach in the whole Cantabrian coast (over four kilometres long) and part of the district is within the Parque Natural de las Marismas de Santoña, Noja y Joyel.
